The last august-weekend is just round the corner, that meens that the end of summer is near. But there are still some hot summer days left, which we can enjoy with a refreshing cocktail. This time we present you something really special, a mixture that will surprise you: Vihucas Enblanco meets Cointreau.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cl of white wine
  • a shot of mineral with gas
  • 3 cl of Cointreau
  • 1 slice of orange
  • Ice cubes

Preparation:

First put the orange and the ice cubes in the glas. Next you ad the wine and the mineral water. The last ingredient to add ist the Cointreau – this way the mixture will be perfect.

Did you know that…

…the Cointreau is a liqueur triple sec, created in a french distillery in 1875. The owners name was Cointreau, that is were the nome of the liqueur comes from.  The Cointreau is made out of the peel of oranges, they are dried at the sun and soaked and distilled in copper alembics. The result is an essential oil which gives the liqueur its intense and natural flavor. The oil is mixed with alcohol, water and sugar. The exact recipe is still a secret.
